Say, hypothetically, some guy (some really cool guy) was wondering when the Warmachine League was starting, how might he find out? Say, hypothetically, some guy hadn't actually played a game of Warmachine ever before, but wanted to get in the league for fun, would that be cool?

As of right now I dont think there is a league set up - but join the FB group!
To answer your second part, sure its cool. Playing leagues is a good way to get started learning to play and get help/advice from other players.
